Plenty of people I know love having titles. They love the sound of their name and what comes after it. Mr. So and so – CEO of Company X. Ms. Yadah Yadah – Senior consultant of Blah Blah department. I mean who wouldn’t want their names sounding important, right? I’m sure all of us do. It is a source of pride and achievement. Yes. Titles do give us that sense of accomplishment. People say that not all are meant to be leaders.  In some instance, that is true. Not all are meant to become presidents of nations, CEOs of multinational companies or clerics of religious denominations. But I do believe that there are times we are given opportunities to lead – in big and small ways. (more…)

Every leader has different leadership styles, people skills, philosophies and characteristics. Oftentimes, leaders tell others what to do and how to do it. But do they apply what they say? Do they practice what they preach?
