It has been a week since I’ve restarted LEADERINPROGRESS.COM.
I have shared my different views on the topic of leadership.
So far, you have read different leadership articles on the importance of several key leadership characteristics and having effective leadership. Also, I have received wonderful comments from avid readers of this blog.
I would like to introduce something new to all of your today called “OPEN SESSION.” In Open Session, I will be asking you a question for a certain duration in the hopes of getting valuable feedback from the readers of LEADERINPROGRESS.COM.
For the first OPEN SESSION topic, let me ask you…
“WHAT MAKES A GREAT LEADER?”
If you were given the opportunity to define what a great leader is, what will he or she become? I want to hear your opinions and views. How? Leave a comment on this blog. Share as much as you can. I am dying to know what you think makes a great leader.

A great leader is a great servant… You can never lead if you don’t know how to serve or you don’t serve. Even JESUS shows us that, one great example was when He washed the disciples feet. GOD will lift us up when we humble ourselves, being a servant is a humbling experience

“A great leader is also a great follower.” That’s a saying that may be considered old but its value will always have its worth. If a person is called to be a leader, he/she must know how to listen. Furthermore, thinks not of himself but more of his members’ and/or others’ welfare as well. Leadership is not all about being a leader. It entails having the responsibility, the heart of service and the right motives. Thank you for posting these articles pastor! keep blessed!

For me, a great leader has to be passionate. He/she has to have passion in what he/she is doing to be able to influence his/her followers and make them passionate as well.
hi pastor! a great leader for me is someone who will make me not to worry to where i am going,when he is teaching or showing me the right way. A good servant equates a great leader. He/she must have a passion or “the calling” with what he is doing in order to be an inspiration or to influence the other for the better, and lastly who value the worth of its members..
“If you want to be great, learn to be servant of all”
“Good leadership does not always speaks, it acts”
What makes a Great Leader to me
Leaders must yield themselves to the word of God, with humble and teachable minds. Being willing to hear of his/her faults, taking it not only patiently, but thankfully.
