Vision is defined as the act or power of anticipating that which will or may come to be. Vision is a mental image of the future.  It is how you see yourself, your company, your team or your organization in a certain period of time. It is stated in different terms – Goal. Ambition. Future Plans.

Plenty of people I know love having titles. They love the sound of their name and what comes after it. Mr. So and so – CEO of Company X. Ms. Yadah Yadah – Senior consultant of Blah Blah department. I mean who wouldn’t want their names sounding important, right? I’m sure all of us do. It is a source of pride and achievement. Yes. Titles do give us that sense of accomplishment. It tells us that we have made it. We are on a pedestle. We have reached the top. And I applaud you. Well done.

I have shared my different views on the topic of leadership.

So far, you have read different leadership articles on the importance of several key leadership characteristics and having effective leadership. Also, I have received wonderful comments from avid readers of this blog.

How many times have we heard this statement: “Count the cost.” In my life so far, I have heard this said thousands of times. Whether it be the big jump from singlehood to marriage, from one job to another or from one task to another, it is mostly said when a big decision needs to be made. Have you been in this situation before?

People say that not all are meant to be leaders.  In some instance, that is true. Not all are meant to become presidents of nations, CEOs of multinational companies or clerics of religious denominations. But I do believe that there are times we are given opportunities to lead – in big and small ways.
